Kvanefjeld mine, Greenland. In development, mining rare earths.

Why Kvanefjeld is famous

Kvanefjeld is a proposed mine and mineral deposit in Kujalleq in southern Greenland. Greenland has no rare earth mine output, and USGS puts its rare earth reserves at 1.5 Mt of oxide. The status here is a Wikidata description; the deposit size, the uranium law and the licence dispute are not yet sourced from a page we opened.1,2
